Pictures are in backwards chronological order. Here are Scott and his mom (at Krissy and Wade's home) the night before we flew back to Utah.
Charles and baby Wade
Swimming at the community pool; all the cousins lined up as they waited to get back in. Every 50 minutes they have all children get out of the pool but adults can still swim. So I started a little 'jumping off the diving board competition' for the adults and the kids watched and cheered as we did cannonballs, twists and splits.
We made a stop at Waffle House on our way back to Raleigh from Carolina Beach. This was Scott's request. They have Waffle Houses everwhere around here.
Fireworks on the 4th of July. Our family went to church in the afternoon, then some of them went to the beach with Scott's family and later that night we had dinner and did a few of our own fireworks and watched some from our beach house that were going off near the beach.
Here's the duplex. Krissy and Wade own the one on the left and we rented the one on the right. It was nice to have all the space and 2 kitchens, 2 master bedrooms etc.
I started calling this statue in Krissy's duplex, Creepy Jack. A combination of Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean and Creepy John from The Chosen. He scared me every single time I opened the door to come into their house.

Surfing...this is Elisabeth
Dinner in Southport (this is where Safe Haven was filmed) with just the adults
Elisabeth, Annabelle and Nora took a surfing lesson and they all got up on the board and surfed! They each had their own instructor that stuck with them in the water.
This was a hotel on the beach that was close to our duplex. I took a pic of the name so I would remember it in case we decide to stay in a hotel during our next visit and want to be close to the beach and the family duplex.
Kelley and Scott
A couple of the family members got stung by jelly fish. Elisabeth got the biggest sting. It was across her stomach and her neck.
Driving from Kelley's to the beach. It's about a 3 hour drive from Mebane.
I brought my exercise bands and a jump rope and still managed to exercise each day, often jogging and walking as well. Scott exercised most days too. Here we are at Grandma's which is where we stayed our first night before heading to the beach.
That first night we caught fireflies and found a couple of frogs!
We had 2 flights to get to Raleigh. Our first stop was in Charlotte, NC. On the way home our layover was in Texas. I get motion sick easy and decided not to eat until after we had gotten up in the air on our second flight. Jane also gets motion sick and she followed my example but didn't eat anything until we actually arrived at our destination, both ways, and the flights home were all day so she was quite hungry when we got home so we picked up some Little Ceasar's pizza just after we picked up Penny from Full House Dog Training which is where she boarded.
